Stop #7 – Weston, MA

By: admin

Our last stop for the summer took us to Weston, MA which was right outside of Boston. Neither Taylor nor I had ever been to Boston so this was an extra treat. Not only did we have superb hosts, but we had a great time in the gym and got to tour Boston a couple of different times during the week.

Stop #5 – Camden – Wyoming, DE

By: admin

For the first time ever, Taylor and I found ourselves in the great state of Delaware. Home of the Riders and lots of athletes. This week was fun. We had kids from volleyball, basketball, soccer, tennis and horseback riding all represented at the camp. If there was one thing these kids did well – they competed like nothing I’d ever seen and it was awesome to watch.

Stop #5 – Sunnyslope, AZ

By: admin

Phoenix, AZ at the end of July – I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone unless you’re going there to visit Sunnyslope HS’s volleyball team. This camp was awesome! Not only were we treated great and had a very high level of volleyball on each court, but we got to work the camp with one of our best friends Kim Sorenson.

Stop #4 – Springville, UT

By: admin

Stop #4 took us 20 minutes down I-15 to Springville, UT. It was nice to be so close to home for a week. Although we didn’t get a chance to stay over night at one of the campers homes, the week was full of fun and interesting activities and delicious lunches. The varsity girls made both Taylor and I each our very own personal GMS camp shirt – which was one for the books. Another thing that caught our attention was the number of girls who rode their bicycles to camp… it took me back to the good `ol days when I rode my bike everywhere.

First Stop… Haggerty High School

By: admin

Hi there folks! I’m excited to take you on our journeys around the States as Gold Medal Squared camp coaches. My husband, Taylor and I have been coaching for GMS for 3 summers now and have loved every minute of it. When Tom asked me if I would be interested in doing a photo essay of our travels I jumped at the opportunity because I knew that it would be interesting and a lot of fun. We’ve been just about everywhere from Montana to Arkansas, Colorado to Boston, and a lot of towns in between. I hope that you enjoy the ride as we go from one end of the country to the next over then next couple of weeks.
